NICK WATTS. 6”5. JR. NORTHPORT H S
Has just finished his 2nd year of varsity ball. Nick is a skilled big man. Can be a step out 4 man for a low D1 program. Has worked on expanding his range for the next level. A solid passer and excellent defender. His game is still improving. Also still growing. Which is very exciting for this successful H S program.
LUKE WOODS 5”11 JR. MATTITUCK H S
A 2 year starter on varsity. This young player was a unflappable point guard as a freshman. As a sophomore this past season he expanded on his role. He is now a pure point who can fill it up . Can really shoot the three. Luke is sensational in transition, making the right pass or finishing on the break.
JACK BARON. 5”11. JR. BAYPORT BLUE POINT H S
Really good shooter. Can drill the three. Excellent skill set. Very good handle. Makes the right decisions at the right time .
KHALIL LONDON. 6”3. JR. ST DOMINICS. H S
Khalil completed his first year as a transfer to the very tough and competitive Catholic school league on Long Island. He was not phased at all, by it. In fact the tougher the game the better he is. Can hit three and finish at rim. Just a flat out scorer. But he also possesses a good handle. Still young but plays the game hard. Combining his youth with the way he plays, makes him an exciting player to watch.
XAVIER LEWIS. 5”8. JR. HALF HOLLOW HILLS EAST H S
Little brother to (Savion) D1 Quinnipiac. Xavier game resembles his brothers . With the way he can shoot it. As good, as a pull up game, there is for such a young player. Pass first guard who can score when he needs too. Good court vision and awarness. Has worked hard on his, on the ball defending. Very exciting player to watch as his game evolves .
AARON DAVIS 6”5 JR BAYSHORE H S
Excells in the 5 out game Bayshore plays. He is excellent at catch and shoot. Also gets his own shot off of one dribble. Very athletic but needs to add some strength. Showed this year he can score around the rim. Tremendous upside for this big man.
ZAIRE BAINES 5”11 JR PORTLEDGE H S
Over 2000 points already has a rising Jr. As soon as I walked into the gym with 50 kids there, at a exposure camp last fall. I automatically knew who Zaire was. He is fearless. Flat out scorer, shoots the three and gets into the lane. Good vision. Aggressive defensively. Does not take any plays off. But forget all that. On one play in this fall team camp. On a turnover he was under his own basket and chased down the offensive player and caused a turnover. That is Zaire a special complete player.
