When looking at the 2021 draft class in Brooklyn, the only word to describe it is “loaded.” This class contains talent everywhere, from players fighting to make a JUCO roster to players already bathing in Division I scholarship offers. 48. Elijah Nedd | George Westinghouse
Elijah Nedd has been a terrific guard, being one of the bright spots for George Westinghouse. As Nedd was vying for a spot to be the unquestioned team leader next season, he definitely did more than enough to paint a bright future in his senior season. Nedd has been an elite guard this season at the varsity level, and it was his play that gives credit to the other team’s success. His speedy penetration coupled with his precise passing and shooting has made Nedd a catalyst for Westinghouse all season.
47. Jordan Johnson Morgan | Brooklyn High School for Law and Tech
Jordan Johnson Morgan has been a crowd-pleasing guard this season. Johnson Morgan is known throughout his school and the league to not shy away from contact and to always prefer a drive to a rim, which would allow him for frequent free throw line trips and easy layups, as well as an open floor for the rest of his teammates. Johnson Morgan’s new addition of a jump shot should put him over the top to be one of Brooklyn’s elite next season.
46. Jaden Quinones | Lafayette Educational Complex
Jaden Quinones has lit up to be a scorer this season for Lafayette. Quinones possess the ability to score from anywhere on the court, regardless of a defender or not. Quinones has the speed and agility to dance around larger forwards while having the size to ram down smaller guards, while his shooting form has little movement and a quick trigger, giving him a lethal jump shot.
45. Dontate Creedland | Wingate Educational Campus
Dontate Creedland has been the prototypical 3 and D shooter for Wingate, and does this all in volumes. Typical three and D shooters have hot and cold streaks, but Creedland seems to constantly be firing away. Creedland also can defend multiple positions on defense, and like the top players in the city, Creedland has both speed and strength, allowing him to guard both the speedsters and the brutes of the city.
44. Tyshaun Williams | Prospect Heights Campus
Tyshaun Williams has blossomed into an electrifying guard this season for Prospect Heights Campus. Williams has been credited with electrifying passes that most wouldn’t think of attempting or effort hustle plays to fire up his team. Williams has made his points count from beyond the arc, and they weren’t in low volume either, as they made up the majority of his scoring. Williams has both the scoring and playmaking to be a successful guard.
43. Sean Fulcher | Xaverian
In Fulcher’s junior year, Fulcher has worked his way from under talented upperclassmen to become a legitimate scoring threat, Fulcher has carved out a role as a scoring guard. In a league with consistent stalwarts such as Archbishops Stepinac and Molloy, Fulcher made it known he can play with the big boys. Fulcher made a name for himself by showing that he can score in any situation from anywhere, including the crowded paint to the distant arc.
42. Secoy Roberts | John Jay Campus
Secoy Roberts has demonstrated that he can score from anywhere this season. Roberts, who possesses the size one needs to be successful in basketball, is able to take the ball in the paint and ram down defenders both small and large, both through crafty post moves and brute strength. Roberts also has shown he can start outside the arc with the ball and penetrate for a score, and even pull up for a jump shot.
41. Javier Pantaleon | Cristo Rey
Javier Pantaleon has been a premier point guard for Cristo Rey this season in the CHSAA. Pantaleon has shown he can both play as the everyday ball-dominant point guard, controlling the offense and penetrating the rim while setting up his teammates, while Pantaleon can also stay active off-ball, and confuse defenders until he finds himself in his favorite position to score.
