Lipsey missed his entire sophomore season with a torn ACl that was suffered during his 15U season, but is still far and away the top prospect in Iowa’s 2022 class. A lightning quick lead guard with great strength, he gets to the rim with ease and has a rapidly developing jumper. He was selected to play with Team USA’s U16 team, making him one of the elite players in the country.
2 | Josh Dix Josh Dix 6'5" | SG Council Bluffs Lincoln | 2022 State #149 Nation IA | SG | Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln
A sharpshooting guard with good size and length, Dix averaged 17.5 points a game as a sophomore and contributed across teh board for the Lynx. He currently holds an offer from South Dakota State, and should see more coming with his ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor.
3 | Ruot Bijiek Ruot Bijiek 6'9" | C Dowling Catholic | 2020 AZ | C | Dowling Catholic
A springy 6-9 big man, Bijiek didn’t see any varsity action for the Maroons this year, but is a high-level long-term prospect with great athleticism, size and length. A rim protector with the ability to run the floor and finish above the rim, he’s still quite raw and a work in progress, but there are an awful lot of tools to like here.
4 | Tanner Te Slaa Tanner Te Slaa 6'5" | SF Boyden-Hull | 2022 State IA | SF | Boyden-Hull
The leading scorer for a Boyden-Hull team that won the 2A state title, Te Slaa is a long, active wing with the ability to score from all three levels. He’s a switchable defender with good, not great, athleticism. He’ll need to continue to add weight, but he has the frame to do so. He holds offers from South Dakota State and Augustana (SD).
5 | Cole Glasgow Cole Glasgow 6'2" | SG Dallas Center- Grimes | 2022 State IA | SG | Dallas Center-Grimes
Glasgow is one of the best pure scorers in Iowa’s 2022 class, but isn’t only a shooter. He has the ability to create his own shot and utilizes a great first step and ability to change speeds to get to the bucket.
6 | Trevion Labeaux Trevion Labeaux 6'3" | SF Ames | 2022 State IA | SF | Waterloo East
A 6-3 wing with elite athleticism, Labeaux has one of the highest upsides of any player in this class. He’s a long, hyper athletic, switchable defender. He uses his athleticism to his advantage at the high school level, but will need to develop some sort of a jump shot, or his ceiling will be limited.
7 | Trey Campbell Trey Campbell 6'4" | PG Cedar Falls | 2022 State IA | PG | Cedar Falls
A big, athletic guard, Campbell is one of the best passers in this class. He has the abilty to break down a defense and get to the bucket, his ball handling is improving and he uses his length to create chaos on the defensive end of teh floor. As he continues to improve his jumper, he should become one of the best two-way players in the state.
8 | Carson Toebe Carson Toebe 6'3" | PG Clear Lake | 2022 State IA | PG | Clear Lake
A skilled lead guard with good size, Toebe has been a key contributor for the Lions in both of his varsity seasons. He handles it well, passes it extremely well and can defend either spot on the perimeter. His shooting numbers fell a bit this year as he became the team’s primary perimeter scoring threat, but with his skill set and size, he should be a coveted lead guard prospect.
9 | Gabe Burkle Gabe Burkle 6'7" | PF Prairie | 2022 State IA | PF | Prairie
Burkle has soft hands, good feet and runs the floor really well. A young big man with a solid frame to continue building on, he has an array of low post moves, rebounds at a high level and defends the post well. If he can add some range to his game, he may be one of the highest upside players in Iowa’s 2022 class. He recently picked up a football offer from Iowa State.
10 | Trey Lewis Trey Lewis 5'10" | PG Johnston | 2022 State IA | PG | Johnston
Lewis is a dynamic shooter who shot just under 50% from behind the arc as a sophomore. He’s cat quick with the ball, has great handles and a good feel for the game. The thing that’s holding him back is his size. He’s listed at 5-8, and is rail thin. He’ll need to grow a bit, and continue to get stronger, if he’s going to realize his full potential.
