You probably were watching the notable Malachi Smith ‘21 (6’1 PG, LM+MM-), Luis Kortwright ‘20 (6-4 CG, LM+MM+) and Gary Grant ‘21 (6’6 Wing, LM+MM+), but the one young man who has been overlooked and worked his way to division 1 talent Reggie Hudson ‘20 (6’1 CG, LM+).
Reggie wasn’t on too many teams scouting reports to start the season, but as the season continued he became the x-factor for the Ravens. Playing both guard position for the Ravens finishing the season averaging 12.3 ppg, 4.0 rebs, 4.0 ast, 3.0 stls a game in one of the best leagues in the country CHSAA (Catholic High School Athletic Association). He had 12 points vs. Stepinac and drew the assignment to guard the top guard in the league and in the state R.J. Davis ‘20 (6’1 PG UNC Commit). Reggie drew the assignment to guard the other teams best player and he had his career high 40 points vs. Dwight Englewood at BlueChip Sports Showcase in January in New Jersey.
Another underrated point guard out of Holy Cross HS in Queens is Tyler Chapman ‘20 (6’1 PG, LM+MM-). The lanky right handed guard who averaged 17.9 ppg with a career high 29 points and earning M.V.P. honors vs Benjamin Banneker HS in the Msgr. King Tournament in Staten Island. Tyler made first team CHSAA. He is also under recruited guard who can help an NEC, Patriot, MAAC, America East school.
Ibrahim Wattara ‘20 (6-5 F, LM+/-) This athletic forward for Mount Saint Michael Academy and first team All-CHSAA who averaged 16.7 ppg for the Mountaineers. He had a career high 30 points against league rival Cardinal Hayes. Ibrahim was the M.V.P. in the 21st annual Slam Dunk Tournament. He currently holding offers from St. Peter’s, FDU, St. Francis (BK).
Justin Owens ‘20 (6’9 F/C LM+MM-) who had a productive senior year for Green Tech High School. Located in the Albany section of New York, Justin averaged 11 ppg, 13 rebs, and 3 blocks a game. Green Tech unfortunately lost to the #7 ranked (In NYS) Shenendehowa HS, but Justin has 11 points despite being in foul trouble. He is going to make a juco school really happy. From there he will be a mid-major force.
