No Texas event is complete without a profile on its illustrious 2022 class. In one of the very first events of the grassroots season, we’re able to get a look at some prospects who might be overlooked. This list has some new faces and names for us to track this summer.
Cole Reid
Reid looked like a wall in the post. Great size for the post, hard to go over and harder to go around. He’s a big time finisher when getting the ball around the rim. You can catch more of him with Drive Nation’s loaded 2022 squad.
Arop Arop
This 6-6 forward has the natural build to put himself on the national circuit. Long arms, great strides and a lot of confidence Arop performed well against players with obvious basketball futures. He’s skilled with the ball in his hands, makes and creates his own shots. Keep a lookout for Arop and his younger brother (more on him in the 2023 article) as the spring and summer heat up.
Alex Ferrell
An athletic combo guard that knows how to move on the ball. Converted well at the rim against long, athletic post players. The 6-2 athlete makes for an efficient downhill scorer.
Aiden TenEyck
The guard out of Byron Nelson High School brings some nice size to either position at 6-3. Shot it well from the wing. With four seniors graduating from his high school, TenEyck is primed to take a step.
Caden Clark
A physical ready to mix it up on both ends of the floor. Handles contact well when finishing around the rim. He likes to play defense and does the dirty work. At only 6-1 Clark, is a decent rebounder for his size. A developing handle may open his game up as time goes on. As Clark develops physically, he could be a versatile wing.
