There is no more exciting shot in basketball than a deep three-pointer. This is true of the NBA and college basketball and even down through high school. New Jersey shooters were on display from the beginning and they were not shy about letting it fly. Here are the top shooters from the previous season.

Jake Green (2022) | Cherry Hill East: 102 3PM

Green led the state in three-pointers made as a sophomore. This means he has a chance to do it three times which is an extremely rare feat. Green knocked down three or more shots from beyond the arc in all but seven games this season. His season-high came against Woodrow Wilson when he knocked down eight on his way to 27 points. Green is the ideal shooting guard at 5’10 and he shows it on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id="929534" first="Andrew" last="Turco"] (2020) | Monroe: 101 3PM

Turco was one of the most dynamic scorers in the state. He had 20 games of 20 or more points including seven over 30 points and one over 40. Turco set a career-high in a win over Spotswood where he poured in 50 points and hit 10 three’s. He finished the season with 101 makes from deep. Turco scored 713 points on the season and turned in a senior season to remember.

[player_tooltip player_id="850507" first="Noah" last="Harris"] (2021) | Rutgers Prep: 99 3PM

Harris was one of the top stock risers in New Jersey this season. He was apart of a Rutgers Prep team that lost just two games and got the chance to co-exist with [player_tooltip player_id="850499" first="Trey" last="Patterson"]. Harris was a complete guard. He was one of the best passers in the state and also finished third with 99 made three’s. Harris had eight games this season where he hit five or more three’s. He was also an elite passer dishing out 10 or more assists six times.

[player_tooltip player_id="933724" first="Andrew" last="Gostovich"] (2020) | Haddonfield: 97 3PM

Gostovich scored in double-figures in all but five games this season and it was because of his hot shooting. Gostovich set a season-high with 10 makes on his way to 32 points in a win over Gateway. Gostovich had a quick release from the outside and was not afraid to use it. He had range that began off the bus and he was a huge weapon for Haddonfield.

Chris Gomez (2020) | Perth Amboy Tech: 96 3PM

Gomez hit five or more three’s 10 times this season. He scored double-figure points in the final 10 games of the season including two 30-point performances. Gomez was Perth Amboy Tech’s No. 1 option all season long. He was able to shoot off the dribble or as a spot up option. The versatility of Gomez stood out among anything else.

[player_tooltip player_id="929541" first="James" last="Anderson"] (2020) | Middletown South: 96 3PM

Anderson came into the season with hopes of being one of the top shooters and he did not disappoint. Anderson knocked down 96 three’s and might have been the biggest microwave on this list. When he hit one, usually a flurry of three’s came down. This happened especially against Marlboro in February when he knocked down six three’s in the second half. He also finished with a season-high nine made three’s in a big win over Long Branch.
