No. 2 Penns Grove will be taking on No. 5 Lindenwold in the final game to see who will be crowned the state champion. Here are the top performers from those two teams in the previous round along with the two losing teams.
Eriq Campbell (2021) | Lindenwold
Campbell led Lindenwold once again over Gloucester. Campbell was able to show off his skills on both ends of the floor. The junior finished with 34 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and four steals. Campbell has been a scoring machine all season for Lindenwold and this has led them to within one game of a state title.
Kavon Lewis Kavon Lewis 5'9" | PG Penns Grove | 2020 State NJ (2020) | Penns Grove
Lewis has led his team within shouting distance of a state title in his senior season. Penns Grove scored 88 points in the semi-final round and Lewis was the leader with 22 of them. He knocked down two shots from beyond the arc and had two steals as well. Lewis is a slasher who can get to the basket at will and takes advantage of defenses whenever he can.
Jamar Dada Johnson (2020) | Penns Grove
It was an extremely impressive performance from Johnson when Penns Grove took the floor in the semis. The senior finished with 17 points, eight assists, and four steals. Controlling the game is key and Johnson did just that against Wildwood. He led the team in assists and was tied for the lead in steals. Johnson could be a big x-factor in the final game.
Seamus Fynes (2020) | Wildwood
Wildwood fell behind early in this game and was not able to fight their way back. Fynes did all he could to hang around but it was not enough. Wildwood finished with 70 points. Fynes notched 20 points and nine rebounds to lead the way. The senior was able to get comfortable down low and get whatever he wants on the boards.
Rasheer Fleming (2022) | Gloucester
Fleming kept Gloucester in the game throughout but he could not do it by himself. Fleming was one of two double-digit scorers for Gloucester. He is a player who is only going to get better over the final two seasons of his career. He notched a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Steven Light was the other with 17 points.
Diante Miles (2021) | Wildwood
Miles was another impressive performance in the game between Wildwood and Penns Grove. He scored 18 points, most of which came on the inside. Miles has another season left and he will continue to get better. He is already an effective driver who is at his best when around the rim. If Miles adds a more consistent jump shot, Wildwood could be right back near the end of the state tournament once again.
