Recruiting Update: Kairee Price

Glencliff High School point guard Kairee Price earned a new college basketball offer Sunday.

Monday morning, Kairee shared a few moments with @PrepHoopsTN to elaborate on his recruiting broadly and specifically.

Kairee Price: Good morning, just picked up an offer from Bethel. Blessed, more to come.

PrepHoopsTN: Is this your first offer?
Kairee: Yes.

PrepHoopsTN: How did you find out?
Kairee: Assistant coach texted me.

PrepHoopsTN: Which coach?
Kairee: Coach Jonathan Stanley.

PrepHoopsTN: Have you been talking with him for awhile?
Kairee: Yes.

PrepHoopsTN: What kind of person is he? Do you two get along well?
Kairee: Yes, we get along well, he seemed cool when I went to visit, but they were in the tournament at the time so we couldn’t talk as much.

PrepHoopsTN: What style of play does Bethel play?
Kairee: They like to feed their post on offense and they emphasize on defense and getting rebounds and pushing the ball out.

PrepHoopsTN: What role do they see you having in that offense?
Kairee: I am very quick, so I can get fast breaks going easily, and I’m highly skilled on the pick-and-roll so feeding the bigs won’t be a problem or creating for other teammates.

PrepHoopsTN: When did you visit Bethel? Just the once?
Kairee: Yes. At the end of February to see a game and visit the school.

PrepHoopsTN: What did you think (of the visit)?
Kairee: As far as the school goes I liked the campus and it was a community feel to the school and that would help me stay focused on basketball. Also, they had nice facilities and a nice fan base.

PrepHoopsTN: Are there other colleges in contact with you?
Kairee: Yes. Fisk University , Miami - Ohio university, and Bryan College.

PrepHoopsTN: What did Miami (Oh) say?
Kairee: They asked for my gpa and act and said they’ll keep in touch for opens runs down there but right now they can’t talk or do anyhing cause it’s dead period cause of the virus.

PrepHoopsTN: Do you have a timeline for when you want to decide?
Kairee: Before the summer starts I should.

Adrian Doss Adrian Doss 5'11" | PG Glencliff | 2020 State TN on Kairee: He’s always the fastest, most explosive person on the court. Attacks the rim hard and can stop and pull up for the mid range shot. And he can lock up on defense.
