Since its inception in 2007, the goal has always been to help kids and improve. The Triumph program started as a SCHOOL based program where we served Jesuit, Highland Park, JJ Pearce, Rockwall, and Justin Northwest (Girls & Boys) – coaching their Freshman thru Varsity programs in the off-seasons. As you can imagine, this morphed into more SELECT products and playing on a higher stage beginning in 2011. The select products were started with the help of High School Coaching Legends David Milson, Mike Hatch, and Jody Bass. Since that time we have been fortunate to host over 150 athletes that have moved on to play at the collegiate ranks. We also boast that we have had an abundance of athletes go on to the Ivy League to play, with 10 currently playing. We also had the pleasure of working with athletes like Paschal Saikam of the Toronto Raptors before he attended New Mexico State.
2020 Goals? We have excelled in a dual commitment by the families and coaches to help each player improve. By putting the team first, we believe we have created a unique atmosphere where most players can mature into the player they want to become.
The Mission: To maximize the potential of every player and family by creating an environment that allows individuals to grow in areas like commitment, promise, dedication, compassion, and grace.
Why Prep Hoops: The question we receive MOST often is surrounded by the SHOE CIRCUIT and where we play. While we are an ADIDAS GRASSROOTS PROGRAM and played on the Gauntlet Series the past three years, we have found these opportunities DO NOT provide the type of exposure that is needed to help our athletes best. Also, we have been doing this for over 15 years and it makes more sense for us to focus on our relationships with the COLLEGE and HIGH SCHOOL COACHES, not a shoe or product that really does nothing for the kids. Our coaching staff all have extensive contacts in the collegiate sectors and we believe being INDEPENDENT and playing in CIRCUITS like Great American Shootout and Prep Hoops gives our kids the kind of attention-exposure they deserve and need. This independence also allows us to take college visits as a program where we typically schedule 3-4 per year.
Team Strengths: Triumph is known across the state as a true “PROGRAM”, one where you are expected to run an offense, play defense and be a great teammate. A program that values PRACTICE over games and a true commitment to the athlete by offering opportunities to improve in basketball IQ, understanding basketball strategy and execution of game planning.
