MVP: Cliff Omoruyi Cliff Omoruyi 6'11" | C Roselle Catholic | 2020 #56 Nation NJ (2020) | Roselle Catholic
Omoruyi is the most dominant player in New Jersey and he showed it during the state tournament. Omoruyi notched two straight triple-doubles in the first two rounds. It began with 20 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 blocks in a win over Marist. He then finished with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 blocks against The Patrick School. Omoruyi carried Roselle Catholic to yet another state title and will look to do the same during the TOC’s.
First Team
CJ Wilcher CJ Wilcher 6'5" | SG Roselle Catholic | 2020 #95 Nation NJ (2020) | Roselle Catholic: The Lions had a dynamic duo of seniors on their team throughout the tournament. Wilcher was the catalyst in the championship game against Gill St. Bernard’s. The Xavier commit scored a game-high 22 points in the victory.
Zach Martini Zach Martini 6'7" | PF Gill St. Bernard's | 2020 State #349 Nation NJ (2020) | Gill St. Bernard’s: Martini was not a big scorer in the first two rounds but showed up when it mattered most. In a one-point loss in the final game, Martini scored 16 points to lead the Knights. He also grabbed 11 rebounds per game in the tournament.
Noah Farrakhan Noah Farrakhan 6'1" | PG The Patrick School | 2020 #159 Nation NJ (2020) | The Patrick School: Farrakhan is one of New Jersey’s best available seniors and he showed why over the course of The Patrick School’s run. He is a dynamic point guard who can score from anywhere on the floor and uses his quickness to get in position.
Denver Anglin Denver Anglin 6'0" | PG Gill St. Bernard's | 2022 State #120 Nation NJ (2022) | Gill St. Bernard’s: Anglin is a star on the rise. He finished with 16 points and seven rebounds in the championship game against Roselle Catholic. This was after scoring a team-high 14 points in the semis against Hudson Catholic.
Isaiah Griffin Isaiah Griffin 5'11" | PG Patrick School | 2023 KS (2021) | Hudson Catholic: In Zion Cruz Zion Cruz 6'4" | SG Patrick School | 2022 #26 Nation CA-S ’s absence, Griffin stepped up as the No.1 option for Hudson Catholic. He scored 17 points per game over two games in the tournament.
