<p>The state sectional tournament for Central Jersey Group 3 ended with the top-seed grabbing a title. Wall got the best of Neptune in the Shore Conference matchup. Here are the standouts and all-tournament teams from all of the rounds of action.</p>
<p><strong>MVP: [player_tooltip player_id="896620" first="Quinn" last="Calabrese"] (2020)</strong></p>
<p>Calabrese has been Wall’s No. 1 option for two years now. He took over the team as a senior and put the ball in the basket at a high rate. He scored in double-figures in all but four games this season. This continued in the tournament. He opened up with 14 points and six rebounds against Woodbridge. Calabrese continued by scoring 15 points in the next round and 16 in the championship game against Neptune. No matter the situation, Calabrese was Wall’s go to guy.</p>
<p><strong>First Team</strong></p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="900360" first="Pat" last="Lacey"] (2021) | Wall: </strong>As good as Calabrese was, Lacey was right behind him. Lacey also scored in double-figures in each contest including 31 points and nine rebounds against Allentown. He finished with 12 points in the final game.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="900292" first="Sam" last="Fagan"] (2021) | Neptune: </strong>The guard play from the Class of 2021 was on full display throughout this tournament. Fagan was one of the catalysts scoring the basketball. He put up 40 points in the quarterfinal round against Somerville.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="926737" first="RJ" last="Weise"] (2020) | Allentown: </strong>Weise led a deep group of talented players. Of them all, he was the do-it-all player. In round one against Ocean, Weise finished with 16 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, and four steals. He followed that up with 12 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists in the quarters and 18 points, six rebounds, and five assists in the semis. </p>
<p><strong>Javon Jenkins (2020) | Nottingham: </strong>It was an early exit for Nottingham in the bracket but Jenkins made his impact known. He scored game-high 29 points in the quarterfinals’ loss to Allentown.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="896659" first="Ryan" last="Savoy"] (2020) | Lakewood: </strong>No. 3 Lakewood was upset in the second round by Burlington Township but that did not stop Savoy from putting on his usual performances. This includes a 19 point, 24 rebound performance in the first round against Steinert. </p>
