This matchup of powerhouse small schools saw Madison cruise into the finals. Now, just a game away from getting back to the big stage, their largest contributors were productive. Jefferson did the same, pushing Madison in the first half.
Chrishon Hicks
Jefferson’s 6-7 forward showed all the traits you want in a 3/4. He has high functional athleticism, an outside shot, and most importantly produces at a high level without the ball especially as a slasher. Unsigned Senior that’ll fit in well in a fast system.
Leonard Miles
Anchoring the defensive end for Madison is this 6-6 sophomore. He moved his feet well in space against speedy guards and helped with rim protection. He has a high activity level and works for 50/50 opportunities. Keep an eye on Miles could be a sleeper prospect going forward.
Warren Dunn
This big man’s combination of size and strength helps Dunn score around longer more athletic defenders. He powers through contact and rebounds well as he establishes space. A great outlet passer in this matchup he earned 4 assists, 3 of them on the break.
Kaden Keal
This quick, athletic had a day as a finisher. The acrobatics and ability to go up confidently with both hands was impressive. Keal was able to edge out defenders in transition.
Dyeshun King
The stocky guard King gave Madison a strong ball handler looking to run the offense. His frame makes him a good defender that isn’t easily pushed around and still moves his feet well. Throws smart passes in tight spaces especially in pick and roll.
Pierre Hunter
The sophomore plays a controlled game as a score-first guard. Great handle with a mid range shot. Hunter displayed a burst of athleticism that lead to a reverse layup, grabbing an offensive rebound around the 6-7 Hicks, and finishing the putback.
