Devan McEwen, junior Lebo:
Lebo blew out Colony-Crest 81-33. They will face 15-8 Hutchinson Central Christian. McEwen came up big against Colony-Crest, as he has all season. The 6-foot-2 junior scored 19 in the playoff win, on par with his 19.6 average from the regular season.
Kamble Haverkamp, senior, Centralia:
Centralia got by Washington County 51-36. Haverkamp takes the court knowing that the next loss will be his last. He’s headed to play football at Butler County. The Pathers will face 20-3 Little River, so they will need all of Haverkamp’s average of 12 points per game, plus some.
Colby Arnold, senior, Centralia:
The 6-foot-2 Arnold will need to step up in support of Haverkamp for Centralia to make the big dance. He came on strong at the end of the season, averaging 14 points in his last four regular season games. Then he went off for 18 against Burlingame.
Gavin Cornelison, junior, Frankfort:
Frankfort escaped Valley Falls 54-53. Cornelison will have to keep up his 13.0 scoring average from the season to continue the playoff run.
Aiden Gerstner, junior, Frankfort:
The 5-foot-8 guard has stepped up his game in the playoff run, averaging 12.6 in the Wildcats’ three playoff games. His biggest test still lies ahead when Frankfort takes on 19-5 Beloit-St. John’s/Tipton.
