SG Jack Moellers (St. James Academy KS, 2020)
A 6-1 shooting guard, Moellers put on a show from behind the arc in an entertaining game against Kennedy. He dropped 35 points, going 8-20 from behind the arc to go with 6 rebounds. He shoots it extremely well off the catch, and has a solid build and the ability to get to the rim when a defender closes out on him out of control.
F Caleb Schlaak (Kennedy, 2021)
The 6-7 junior combo forward is just extremely smooth in everything he does. He’s got a great looking jumper, excellent footwork in the paint, great touch around the rim and a diverse offensive arsenal with the ability to score inside and out. He’s got excellent length and defensive versatility and an incredibly high ceiling. He was the best prospect in the gym on Saturday, and he played like it, scoring 27 points on 10-14 shooting (2-2 3P, 5-6 FT) with 9 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks.
SG Jamari Smith (Hempstead, 2021)
A 6-4 shooting guard with one of the purest strokes in the state, Smith was dynamic in Hempstead’s loss to Dowling, going for 24 points, and he was 6-14 from behind the arc. He’s a confident shooter with extended range and a quick, smooth release. He’s equally adept shooting off the dribble or the catch, and with his size, he can get his shot off against anyone who is trying to defend him.
PF Eli Raridon (Valley, 2022)
A 6-6 sophomore power forward, Raridon is also a good prospect on the gridiron. He’s strong in the paint, with great touch around the rim, and a solid stroke out to about 15 feet. He has good hands, rebounds at a high level and is an explosive athlete who finished with 17 points on 7-13 shooting with 8 rebounds.
SF Nick Reid (Central City, 2020)
The Emporia State commit put together the most dominant performance of the day, going off for 29 points, 23 rebounds and 6 blocks in the Wildcats win. He has great length, handles the ball well, is a good athlete and rebounds the ball at an extremely high level. As he continues to iron out his jumper, he’ll become a dynamic scorer at the next level as well.
PF Bradley Andrews (Charles City, 2020)
Nobody put together more highlights than Andrews, a 6-6 power forward with explosive athleticism and great length and bounce. A skilled lefty who also stepped out and went 3-6 from behind the arc, he provided three highlight reel dunks, including an incredibly impressive alley-oop off a BLOB play. He’s got a lot of skills and is probably just scratching the surface. He’ll be a great fit for whichever school comes in and scoops up this incredibly athletic, versatile big man.
