Chaz Lanier Recruiting Update
Chaz Lanier is a senior star for The Ensworth School Tigers. Together with Dominic Wynn, Lanier is guiding Ensworth towards another deep playoff run.
How is your team doing this season?
Chaz Lanier: We are 16-5. We are doing pretty well. I feel like we run the court pretty well. We execute our offense when we are in transition.
Who are the tougher teams you have played this year?
MBA and BA.
What made MBA tough?
They shot really well when we played them. They shot lights out. They were getting stops, as well. But, I would say they shot really well.
Recruiting
How is recruiting going of late?
I have offers from Alabama-Huntsville and Tusculum University. Interest from Campbell, Tiffin (OH), Christian Brothers, Trevecca, Lipscomb, and Lee University. And Chattanooga State for JuCo.
What are you hearing from Lee University?
I took a visit earlier, before the season. He came to a couple games. They want to be up there when I choose to make a final decision.

Christian Brothers?
They joined my recruiting process not too long ago, maybe five games. They have come to about two games. THey are saying they like what they see. They like me and Dom both. They will be coming back, I am sure.
Tusculum?
[Head Basketball] Coach J.T. Burton. He called me about a month ago on the phone. He told me he has been watching me since last year in the state tournament. He offered me when they called me.
Do you know anything about them?
Not too much.
What is your feeling on distance in general? Are you trying to stay close? Is distance a factor?
It doesn't really matter. I just really want the best fit for me. Best coach.
What coaching style do like? What are things that a coach does that make you feel like you can really blossom?
If I need anything, if there are any problems, if I can go to him and feel like I can talk to him. And the players. Just
When you went to visit Lee, did you meet any players?
It was a brief. Just a handshake and 'Hey, what's up?' I didn't really get to know them.
Are there any colleges inviting you out to visit soon?
Lipscomb wanted me to come to a game Saturday.
