The crowd for the Minnehaha Academy vs CDH game takes away my biggest moment and their reactions to the Tre Holloman attack through several Redhawk defenders, the reactions to the big Curtis Jones/J’Vonne Hadley threes, and the response to the Jalen Suggs dunk. (1)
Apollo/Cambridge could be the wildest game you will ever see or hear about. Thirty-five points from Henry Abraham in the first half, most of the 31 from Michael Gravelle in the second half, and a 43-4 second half run completely turning this game on it’s head. (2)
While Ben Carlson earned event MVP, it’s Kendall Blue that had the most memorable moment. The sophomore had a full run at Dain Dainja and thew down a dunk over the top of the 4-star Baylor commit. (3)
Not to be outdone, Dain Dainja came right back at the Raptors with four aggressive second half dunks including one physical, nasty, full power, angry dunk that went straight through an opponent who was inside the circle. (4)
The Jaylen James first half threes! James played a lot of the game on the wing for Eastview allowing him to score 28 and dish out six assists. The headliner though was those seven threes in the first half that brought everybody to their feet. (5)
Clutch shooting of Will Cordes. Jaylen had the explosive shots made, Cordes made the clutch perimeter jumpers for the Shakopee win over Hopkins. (6)
Eden Prairie is going to share a spot. Between the Austin Andrews crafty one hand finishes and the aggressive defensive of Connor Christensen and Will Foster on Dawson Garcia, those are likely the two things I will recall from the game. (7)
Jax Madson‘s scoring run of the final nine points gave East a chance but the final attempt missed. Madson’s 9-0 run showed off his ability to finish plays regardless of the pressure being applied from the defense. Keijuan White also had a dunk in that game that should be mentioned too.(8)
The Steven Crowl post play of what I believe was four dunks, several shoulder turn buckets, and a lot of quality dishes to teammates. Crowl’s dunks were the highlights but the string of plays is what lands him here. (9)
Nathan Heise‘s early lob dunk which was a big part of his 39 point total on the big stage vs Minneapolis North. (10)
