Spartan vs Jaguar
The Hall brothers Alerick & Channon of Summit High School was fun to watch!
2020′ | PG | Alerick Hall, is a solid PG that knows how to set up his teammates for success. The 5’8 guard finished the game vs Centennial Burleson with 19pts most of them coming off his flawless floater game. 2021’| SG |Channon Hall, Can flat out put the ball in the basket in multiple ways either off the dribble or spotting up. The 6’0 shooting guard finished the game with 25pts with seventeen of them in the second half. This family duo is hard to handle.
Jacob Stuckey|Centennial Burleson|SF was by far the player that caught my eye. At 6’8 playing outside to inside this kid did many things that had me wondering what he was going to do next. Jacob can play multiple areas on the court. He finished the game with 3 three-pointers and totaling 20pts to lead the team with the win.
Keryn Collins|Centennial Burleson|PG the MSSU signee showed once again why he is one of the best 2020 PG in his class. We all know this kid can flat out-handle the ball in ways that most can’t, but what I saw different from him since the AAU season is he played with a higher level of passion and not to mention how many times he was sacrificing his body for the 50/50 balls. One of Keryn’s most impressive things he does consistently is making the right pass at the right time and in a high fashion way. Collins finished the game with 19pts & a ton of assists.
Wildcats vs Pirates
Jeremy Griffin|Lake Highlands|PG has to be one of the fastest pg in the district. The 6’0 2021 showed many times during the game that he is more than a point guard and made a strong case that he can be used as a shooting guard scoring time after time at the basket and hitting three very deep three-pointers in a row. Griffin finished the game with a high of 24pts.
Lado Luku|Lake Highlands|C there’s so much to say about this kid. At 6’10 and with a wingspan of 6’11 this player sizes up to many of the college/NBA players. Luku has one of the softest and smoothes touches around the basket and can run the floor with the best of them. His strengths are protecting the rim with block shots & rebounding above his head. The 2020 Center finished the game with 11pts, 4 blks.
Tommy Garriga|Wylie HS| F has a nice frame at 6’7 and knows how to use it for his advantage. He is a skilled back to the rim forward with nice footwork. He does well in transition offense and not afraid to put it at the bottom of the rim. 2020 forward ended the game with 10pts and a monster dunk that woke up the fans.
Kobe Wiggins|Wylie HS|PG was one of my favorites to watch. The 5’9 Wylie guard has a very high basketball IQ and operates well in a half-court offense. 2021 Wiggins was lethal in the second half when it counted the most scoring 20pts to help give the Pirates the win.
