Starters
A.J. Thompson – Guard
Thompson is a crafty combo guard that’s learning when to drive to the basket and when to look for his teammates in the halfcourt. As he develops his point guard skills, he’ll be one to watch on this year’s squad.
Brandon Poggioli – Wing/Forward
Poggioli is an emerging senior prospect that’s developed quite the stroke from outside the 3-point arc. When he isn’t looking for his outside shot, he’s making plays for others off the dribble.
Naji Hall – Guard
Hall is another guard in the rotation that can handle the ball and spot up for outside shots in space. He’ll be a senior player in this rotation with room to develop.
Jonah Milchuck – Forward
Milchuck is a 6-foot-6 forward that’s slowly figuring things out in the Jaguars frontcourt. He protects the paint and can defend on the perimeter. He’s also quite the rebounder and attacks the rim.
Brandon Spruill – Wing/Forward
Spruill is another emerging senior prospect in the Athens Drive rotation. He’s a slasher that’s aggressive off the bounce and an underrated passer as well.
Reserves
Barry Brame – Forward
Brame can be quite the scrappy forward for the Jaguars off the bench with his ability to protect the paint and finish around the rim. He’s a junior forward with length at 6-foot-2 that makes things happen on both ends.
Shaun Kenedy – Guard
Kenedy is only a freshman heading into the 2019-20 season but he should be a solid contributor off the bench with his ability to shoot the ball from deep and defend using his quickness.
Key Dates
12/5 – @ Millbrook
In their third game of the season, the Jaguars will travel into hostile territory to face the Millbrook Wildcats. It will be a challenging contest for their senior group against a talented bunch.
12/13 – @ Cary
Another tough road matchup in December when the Jaguars travel to Cary to face the Imps, a rival of theirs in an early nonconference Quad.
12/26-28 – Northern Nash
The Athens Drive Jaguars open up the Bunn Holiday Invitational Tournament against Northern Nash before playing another two games across the next two days.
