Semi-Finals: Spurs – Rockets
Things came down to the wire in the Spurs/Rockets game in what was a competitive, back and forth affair. In the end, it came down to a free throw in the final seconds, thanks to an intentional foul from the Rockets with 10 seconds remaining left in the game. The Spurs ended up making one out of two free throws, securing a 65-64 victory in the end.
Semi-Finals: Cavaliers – Pacers
The Cavaliers and Pacers was a close one through the first half, with the Cavaliers leading by just two at halftime, but they picked up the pace in the second half. The Pacers ran out of gas as the Cavaliers turned things up a notch. In the end, the Cavaliers won 103-84. Ben Hines paced the squad with 35 points on seven made 3-pointers in that one, with 18 of those points coming in the second half.
All-Star Game
In the All-Star Game, West beat East in double overtime behind 26 points from 2022 guard Evan Ashe. Ashe really turned things up in the games two overtime periods, scoring 10 of his 26 points in the extra frames. He took home game MVP honors after his performance.
Championship: Cavaliers – Spurs
It was a close one this time around the Cavaliers and Spurs in the championship game. The Cavaliers kept the score out of reach of the Spurs for much of the game and in the end, led by regular-season MVP forward Will Felton, they defeated the Spurs 77-67. Felton put up 25 points, controlling the paint and the glass per usual.
Hines played a masterful game on both ends, defending with pace and showing off his usual prowess from the 3-point line. He finished with 24 points on five made 3-pointers and took home Game MVP honors for his two-way production.
For the Spurs, they were led in scoring by 2023 Tanner Mikulecky‘s 18 points and 2022 Julien King‘s 16 points. It’s worth noting the Cavaliers prevailed through the final weekend with only five players.
