As a junior, Adams averaged 15.3 points for the Trojans who finished 21-7 overall. The soon to be 1,000-point scorer will look to perfect his jump shot this season.
“I need to improve and gain a more-consistent jump shot,” Adams told 247Sports. “I’ve been putting in working on all summer. I’ve been putting in countless hours. I also want to improve my decision making, which will come from watching more of my film.”
Adams is an elite ball handler who uses his quickness to be a slasher. He can get to the rim with ease and is dominant in transition because of his ability to finish at the rim. Adding a jump shot to his game will take his productivity to the next level. Adams worked hard in the offseason to perfect his shot.

“I’m a do-it-all kind of guy,” Adams said. “I’m very effective in transition, and I’m going to give 100 percent. Whatever my role is, I’ll lock in. Whether you need a lock-down defender, someone who can score 20 or someone who can dish out 10 assists.”
On the court, Adams is a top prospect who will be one of the best players in the GMC this season. Off the court, he is a tremendous student who knows the value of classwork. Adams had more than 10 offers from Division I programs, some of them being Ivy League schools. When Adams set his top-five schools, Princeton was one of them. This is a smart player off the court which helps him with his decision making and basketball IQ on the court.
St. Thomas Aquinas is in good hands with Adams and fellow senior Derrick Grant as their one, two punch. They fell short in the county tournament last season but they have a chance to make a run this season. There are certain players that impress from the opening tip. Adams is one of those players. He is in for a big senior year with many more to come as a Demon Deacon.
