Recruiting Report: DeLonnie Hunt (2020)
When considering the DMV’s best available lead guard prospects, DeLonnie Hunt is most definitely at or near the top of that list. The southpaw had D1 coaches raving about his performances over the summer at DMV Live. Hunt has since seen a sharp uptick in his recruitment, During a recent interview with Prep Hoops, he discussed the schools currently standing out in his recruitment and much more.
PH: What part of your game are you working on right now?
DH: “Becoming a more consistent shooter from deep and mid range. Also my strength.”
PH: Which schools are standing out the most in your recruitment?
DH: “The most right now would be Robert Morris and Umbc, but my recruitment is still wide open.”
PH: Which schools have you visited?
DH: “I just finished an unofficial at Robert Morris.”
PH: Which schools do you want to visit?
DH: “I would like to visit every school that is interested in me and that I’m interested in!”
PH: What factors are important to you when considering schools?
DH: “Great relationship with coach, automatic brotherhood, getting after each other every single day.”
PH: What are your goals?
DH: “Learning how to play the game better. To be able to come in a play whether it’s starter minutes or bench minutes and be able to help my team win. Start leading the team as a freshmen like I’ve been there for a year already.”
