Cornilsen is the best player on an Easton Valley team that should be considered a fairly heavy favorite in the division this year. The River Hawks will have an explosive offense, and Cornilsen is the division’s leading returning scorer and third best rebounder.
First Team
2021 Kaleb Cornilsen, Easton Valley (16.2 points, 8.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 2.0 steals, 54.4 FG%)
The first of three River Hawks on the first team, Cornilsen led the team in scoring, rebounding and steals last season, while shooting 54.4% from the floor. A 6-3 forward, he does all his damage inside the arc, and will be the focal point of a Easton Valley attack that will be among the best in 1A.
2020 Nathan Moeller, Prince of Peace (15.5 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.8 steals, 1.6 blocks, 61.4 FG%)
Moeller was a key piece for an Irish team that qualified for State last season, ranking second in scoring while leading the team in rebounding. The 6-4 forward was highly efficient, shooting 61.4% from the floor, and even showed a bit of a stroke from distance, knocking down 20 3s at a 52.6% clip.
2021 Kaden Schnede, Calamus-Wheatland (13.7 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.4 steals, 52.3 FG%)
Schnede finished second on the Warriors in scoring and led the team in rebounding last season. With three double figure scorers graduated from that group, look for his scoring numbers to explode.
2020 Cade Jargo, Easton Valley (12.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 1.6 steals, 55 3PM, 44.7 3P%)
A dynamic shooter, Jargo led the River Hawks in made 3s last season, knocking them down at a fantastic 44.7% clip. He also led the team in assists.
2020 Nate Trenkamp, Easton Valley (10.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1.5 steals, 46 3PM, 47.9 3P%)
Another knockdown shooter from Easton Valley, Trenkamp shot the highest percentage of their three sharpshooters (Jargo, Jessen Weber), burying just under 48% of his shots from distance.
