One of the most productive players in the state last year, Coble put up an outstanding stat line of 18-14-4-3-4 last year for the Warriors, and he should be dominant on a nightly basis for a WACO team that looks like the best in the division.
First Team
2020 Nik Coble, WACO (17.9 points, 14.1 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 2.5 steals, 3.6 blocks, 59.4 FG%)
Coble isn’t just the leading returning scorer and rebounder in the division, he’s also the state’s leading returning rebounder at 14.1 a game. To boot, he dished out 83 assists, swiped 54 steals and blocked 80 shots last year. The 6-5 big man is a dominant force on both ends of the floor.
2020 Grant Swanson, New London (12.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.1 steals, 1.3 blocks, 55.2 FG%)
Swanson has been a key piece for some really talented New London teams the last few years, and will have a chance to be the star this year following the gradutions of Mason Porter, Keontae Luckett, Darius Whaley and Isaac McSorley. A versatile inside-out threat who can also protect the rim, he should have a huge senior year for the Tigers.
2020 Matt Hellige, Holy Trinity (11.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists)
Hellige was a bright spot for a Holy Trinity team that won just five games last year, leading the team in scoring and finishing second in rebounding.
2020 Drew Kissell, WACO (11.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.3 steals)
Kissell was second on the Warriors in scoring last season, and should see his assist numbers spike up this year following the graduation of Colton Horak.
2020 Axel Tjaden, Notre Dame (11.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.8 steals, 50.5 FG%)
Tjaden is coming off a strong junior year that saw him rank third on the Nikes in scoring, and with 32.1 points gone from the team’s top two scorers, it’ll be up to Tjaden to pick up some of that scoring slack.
