1) 2020 Bradley Williams, Heat (↑1)
Don’t let Bradley Williams quiet demeanor fool you, he’s an electric prospect with his ability to score, make plays and defend. Williams posted 29 points, 15 rebounds and four steals and is currently producing 23.4 points, 7.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists per contest as the playoffs approach in Week 5. His unselfishness is a big part of the Heat’s 7-1 record. He’s been a model of consistency for the Heat while still allowing others like Stefon McLeod and Will Otto to flourish as well.
2) 2020 Kaleb Brooks, Nets (↑2)
Kaleb Brooks is another prospect with a quiet demeanor but a big game. He’s virtually become “Mr. Triple Double” with his stat line of 23.0 points, 13.0 rebounds and 8.0 assists per game and is now the current leader in assists per game after Week 4. Brooks has a high IQ on the floor which makes for an entertaining experience watching him play. He posted his second triple-double of the season against the Lakers (25 points, 16 rebounds, 11 assists) in a big 82-78 win. He continues to show why he’s a top player day in and day out.
3) 2022 Dylan Wiggins, Clippers (↑1)
Dylan Wiggins aka “Mr. 20-20” is a relentless paint presence that continues to do what he does well. Wiggins put up his second 20-point, 20-rebound game in consecutive weeks with a 20-point, 21-rebound game against the Spurs in a big 90-70 victory. Wiggins leads the league in rebounds at 15.0 rebounds per game while putting up 14.4 points and 3.0 assists per game. He’s shown to be a valuable asset around the rim and especially on the glass for the Clippers as they continue their undefeated season at 8-0.
4) 2020 Wykise Allen, Warriors (↑2)
Wykise Allen has been a walking double-double week in and week out for the Warriors. Though they went 1-1 on the week, Allen put together his fifth and sixth double-double of the season with performances of 22 points, 10 rebounds and 26 points and 18 points. He nearly notched a triple-double with nine assists in his 22-point, 10-rebound performance, showing off his ability to distribute. His style allows him to get to the rim and finish strong, regardless of the defense.
5) 2021 Stefon McLeod, Heat (↑1)
Stefon McLeod has become something of a defensive stopper with his teammates Bradley Williams and Will Otto taking on much of the scoring load. He posted five blocks in their win over the Trail Blazers then posted four steals in their win against the Spurs while posting 19 points, 10 rebounds and six assists. McLeod does a good job of using his versatility to his advantage given his athletic ability and knack for playing above the rim. He’s putting up 15.4 points, 9.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 2.6 blocks per contest through eight games.
6) 2022 Dakota Gordon, Clippers (↓3)
Dakota Gordon had a rough outing in Week 4 by his own standards, but he still managed to double-figure scoring efforts with 10 points and 19 points in their two wins. It was odd to see Gordon not distribute like his usual self, but they were down for much of their game against the Lakers before they came back and won in overtime, 65-61. In their two combined games in Week 4, Gordon dished out six total assists. Prior to that, he’s posted at least one game with double-figures in assists each week.
7) 2021 Dante Kiesenhofer, Lakers (↓6)
Dante Kiesenhofer did not play in Week 4. His absence was noticeable in the Lakers loss against the Clippers, 65-61 in overtime as they got to a point where points were at a premium. He’s a creator that should be back next week to do his thing.
