<p>Michael Dominguez and Eric Newman talked about the top teams at all the levels and they were spot on. I am diving a little deeper into each conference. Looking at the possible 24 playoff teams for the upcoming 2019-2020 HS season. </p>
<p>With transfers, injuries and players blossoming, much could change but here is my top-8 of the 24 possible playoff teams for 6A:</p>

<p><strong>1st 8 teams all have a chance for the all important 1st round bye:</strong></p>
<p><strong>Cesar Chavez</strong></p>
<p>-They have a star in Jr <strong>Ty Ty Washington</strong>, a perfect compliment in Jr guard <strong>Ricardo Sarmiento</strong> plus stud incoming freshman <strong>Tru Washington</strong>. They also have many pieces to the puzzle with seniors <strong>Greg Evans and Nyjeir Andrews</strong> in the middle plus guards <strong>Tyraill Carrethers, Latrell Robinson</strong> and <strong>Latrey Robinson</strong>. </p>
<p><strong>Skyline </strong></p>
<p>-They have a senior star PG in <strong>Dayton Harris</strong> (NAU commit), big man <strong>Tanner Poeschl</strong> and athletic forward <strong>Tyree Tyler. </strong>They also have two snipers in soph <strong>Dominic Capriotti</strong> and Jr <strong>Patrick Herrera</strong>. </p>
<p><strong>Chandler </strong></p>
<p>-No senior starters but talented Jr's led by big wing forward <strong>Isaiah Broady</strong>, true post players <strong>Nicholas Riley and Darian Masi,</strong> power forward<strong> Elijah Johnson</strong> and PG <strong>Carson Kelly</strong>. Also have stud soph PG <strong>Mekhi Mason</strong>. </p>
<p><strong>Desert Vista </strong></p>
<p>-Stud senior forward <strong>Osasere Ighodaro</strong> will lead them surrounded by a good cast of players. Jr forward transfer <strong>John Solomon</strong> from Florida may be the 6A newcomer of the year. Also 3 good guards in Jr's <strong>Malik Mack, Marcus Wady</strong> and soph <strong>Andrew King</strong>. </p>
<p><strong>Perry</strong></p>
<p>-One of the biggest front lines in the state led by soph star <strong>Dylan Anderson</strong> and Jr post <strong>Duke Brennan</strong>. Also have Jr PG in <strong>Christian Tucker</strong> and Sr forwards in <strong>Nate Wold</strong> and <strong>Evan Skeoch </strong>plus Jr PG<strong> Austin Hutchings. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Hamilton </strong></p>
<p>-Senior guards will lead the way for the Huskies with <strong>Jamar Brown, Omar Knight, Christian Valle and Justin Fisher</strong>. Also three talented Jr's in PG <strong>Adrian Galindo</strong> plus forwards <strong>Andrew Hinkle</strong> and <strong>Jacob Enriquez</strong>. </p>
<p><strong>Basha </strong></p>
<p>-A strong young core led by sharp shooter Jr <strong>Trenton McLaughlin</strong>. Good pieces around him with Sr shooter <strong>CJ Noder,</strong> Jr PG <strong>Thomas Hastings</strong>, Soph PF <strong>Brady Reynolds</strong> and stud incoming freshman F <strong>Landon Schumaker</strong>. </p>
<p><strong>Chaparral </strong></p>
<p>-3 seniors surrounded by a newcomer of the year candidate with soph <strong>Adrame Diongue. </strong>Their top interior player for the last two years has been senior <strong>Jorden Josephs</strong>. Then they have most improved candidate with PG <strong>Matthew Whisler</strong>. Also have strong senior forward with <strong>Cole Buzas</strong>. Their bench could be deep with Jr's G <strong>Jevon Humphrey</strong>, F <strong>Markes Siekam</strong> and sharp shooter <span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Will Betteridge</strong>. Plus rising soph PG <strong>Jalin Humphrey</strong>. </span></p>
