Aaron Tims (Team RWA 17U)
Tims is an elite offensive rebounder with his quick second jump. Proved he could do that at a high level all spring. Uses his quickness around the hoop to score regularly with dunks.
Connor Webb (Team RWA 17U)
Webb has seen a steady climb this spring with his play. The Lisle small forward is a classic three and D wing that can shoot it from three along with defending at a high level. Very underrated athlete that threw down several big dunks over the course of the summer. Committed to Trevecca Nazarene.
Lance Mosley (HIT 17U)
Mosley is another player who has helped his stock with a strong spring. Athletic shooting guard that was consistently accurate with his jumper over the course of the summer. Makes plays in the open floor with his quick twitched athleticism.
Odin Lium (HIT 16U)
Lium is a rangy 6’5” wing with plus athleticism. He is also a highly skilled player that shoots it well from the perimeter. Such a versatile player who scores from all three levels. One of the biggest stock risers of the spring in his 2021 class.
Tyler Van Eekeren (HIT 16U)
Van Eekeren is another wing from HIT that has made noise this spring. The Benet Academy product is a tough and athletic small forward with a nice skill level and is an outstanding utility player.
Kai Evans (Young & Reckless 16U)
Evans is a bouncy two guard that plays above the rim. He did that all summer with huge jams showing off his combination of power and athleticism on a regular basis.
Grant Niego (Chicago Lockdown 17U)
Niego is a plus shooter that has developed his all-around game over the last year. He has much improved ball handling since even the high school season. Crisper and wins more consistently off the bounce. Makes plays in the lane converting scoop shots and drawing defenders for dishes to his shooters. Had it rolling with his jumper at the finals.
Chase Travis (Illinois Bears 15U)
Travis is a sleeper 2022 prospect that has a chance to be a college prospect down the line. Listed at 6’3” he has a lot of projectability to add strength and height. He was at his best getting loose in the open floor for athletic layups. One to watch from Southern Illinois!
Armond Williams (Southwest Jets 17U)
Williams was a role player last season for East St. Louis that is primed to breakout into a major role as a senior. Long and lanky 6’8” center that is extremely agile around the hoop. He needs to continue add strength to max out his potential, but he is already effective running the floor with ease scoring a lot of points in that fashion. Rim protector swatting shots at a nice clip.
Patrick Readye (Southwest Jets 17U)
Readye will be playing next to Williams in high school as he is transferring to East St. Louis from Althoff. He is more of your traditional five man with his strong base and ability to finish around the hoop on dump off passes and junk points. Flashes improved shooting range. Rebounds well in his area. When he plays with a high motor this kid is a good player!
Donte Williams (Gateway Illinois 17U)
Tough and rugged four man from Collinsville that brings a lot of toughness to the table on both ends. Rebounds well and is a solid post defender. Runs the floor very hard and with a purpose. Also displayed more skill than we had seen in the past with a couple of hook shots.
Blake McKay (Illinois Bears 17U)
McKay is a combo guard from Woodlawn who tends to fly a bit under the radar, but he had a strong weekend in St. Louis. Plus shooter from beyond the arc and has a crisp one dribble pull up. Also took it to the hoop a few times finishing with either hand.
Tommy Ferriter (Windy City Magic 17U)
Ferriter helped himself with a solid showing at Summer Challenge. Good size on the perimeter and can shoot it from three. Also was creative attacking off the bounce finishing with flair at the rim.
Cawhan Smith (Gateway Illinois 17U)
Smith is a nice compliment to Ray’Sean Taylor at the point for both his high school and travel teams. Played well in the two July events regularly getting dribble penetration making mid-range jumpers and floaters.
Kimahri Wilson (Young & Reckless Brim 16U)
Wilson has been one of the top 2021 point guards in the class since the first time we looked at the group. Quick and shifty guard who wins off the bounce and is a flashy passer. Where he has taken the next step in his game has been as a perimeter shooter becoming more consistent from three.
Jalen Houston (Young & Reckless 16U)
Houston followed up a good showing at Ridgewood with another one at Summer Challenge. The Hyde Park point guard is a crisp ball handler that has strength to finish inside, speed to push in the open floor, and is a capable pull up shooter. Excellent spring and summer for Y&R.
Jaylen Bryson (All-In 16U)
Bryson has a high ceiling and at Summer Challenge we were able to see some of it. The Champaign Centennial long and lanky forward runs the floor, plays above the hoop, and can protect the rim. Just scratching the surface of his upside.
Demarco Clayton (All-In 16U)
Clayton is a super athletic combo guard from Bloomington that showed it off in the Chicago suburbs over the weekend. Had one of the biggest dunks of the tournament at Summer Challenge.
Amar Augillard (All-In/Young & Reckless 16U)
Augillard is a physical combo guard from Zion Benton that played with a lot of power when we saw him for both AIA and Young & Reckless in July. Consistently attacked downhill and got to the foul line.
Jamari McClendon (Illinois Jaguars 16U)
This Hope Academy scoring guard was an impact player for the Jaguars all circuit long. Burst with the ball in his hands getting to the cup! Major factor as a perimeter scorer.
Caleb Horton (Team RWA 16U)
Horton was a consistent performer on the PrepHoops Circuit all spring and summer. This point guard can score from all three levels and is a solid distributor.
Anthony Coleman (Team RWA 16U)
Coleman has grown height wise and his game has continued to evolve. Really like his potential on the defensive side and can hit an open three as well.
