2022 Forward Kaleb Hedgepeth, Warriors
Wykise Allen wasn’t the only player doing good things on the floor for the Warriors. 2022 forward Kaleb Hedgepeth is showing an improved motor on the floor with his ability to snag rebounds and get to the rim off the dribble. He put up 18 points in their win against the Wizards and 12 points in their win over the Celtics.
2021 Guard Carsten Grandy-Richardson, Spurs
Carsten Grandy-Richardson played a big role in the Spurs 89-87 win over the Nets. Although undermanned, it took everything in the tank for 2021 guard Carsten Grandy-Richardson and company to get the victory. He isn’t dunking just yet but he isn’t shy about going toe-to-toe with opposing defenders at the rim.
2022 Forward/Center Landon Nall, Spurs
2022 big man Landon Nall is a solid post prospect to watch with the Spurs. He’s got nice hands and awareness in the post and had a number of dunks in the halfcourt and on the break. Nall put up 24 points and 19 points, scoring off offensive rebounds on a few occasions. Good things happen when he touches the ball.
2020 Guard Kaleb Brooks, Nets
The Nets had just four players in their rotation in Week 3 but it didn’t slow down 2020 guard Kaleb Brooks much. Brooks showed poise as the team’s primary playmaker and while they were missing others, he made things happen often against multiple defenders.
2022 Forward Nigel Okwakol, Lakers
Nigel Okwakol was another player on the Lakers that stood out in the frontcourt. He’s a player that’s slowly figuring out how to play at his own speed. At times, he showed flashes of his ability to make things happen, especially in the post. He’s relentless on the break and on the boards, making him a dangerous prospect to keep an eye on.
2022 Guard Nayshin Waller, Trail Blazers
2022 guard Nayshin Waller and the Trail Blazers got their first victory in league play thanks to his 22-point performance against the Suns. Waller did everything from getting to the rim to making free throws in his team’s first win. At 1-5, they’re not entirely done yet with games remaining.
