Bille Sheikh #10 (Apollo Academy) PG C/O 2019: Shifty point guard that gets the ball up full speed in transition. Quick handles helps him shakes defenders and get into the paint area. Had plenty of quick sneaky passes for assists. Solid layup package and decent mid and three point shot. He was one of the tougher players to guard because of his dynamic set of skills.
Jahvonta Jones #21 (Team Flight) PG/SG C/O 2019: Slashing guard with a great set of offensive attacking skills. Great footwork on both sides. Uses ball fakes and jabs to create space and attack defenders. Stays in front of defenders because of length and quick footwork. Could become a solid combo-guard if he develops a confident mid-range and beyond the arc jump shot.
Griffin Knowles #1 (Seattle Select) PG C/O 2021: Controls the floor well. He looked to attack off the dribble. Very good at getting to the line by drawing contact on his drives. Sets screens for teammates and moves off the ball well. If he continues to shoot more shots beyond the arc, he has potential to be a high scoring guard.
Vince Ballah #11 (Team Bradley) SG C/O 2021: One of the most athletic guys in the tournament. Needs to develop a confident 3 point shot. From there, he would be able to differentiate when to shoot and attack in order to be unpredictable and hard to defend. He looks to attack aggressively to the hoop, get contact and finish strong at the rim.
Cody Coppinger #14 (D1 Elite) SG C/O 2021: Slashing guard that goes shoulders to feet to get by defenders. Excellent at jabbing and making the right decision to drive and get to the rim. Finishes well with contact. Structured three point shot that could improve on release speed. He hit a high percentage from beyond the arc. I was impressed by his high scoring games throughout the tournament.
Matthew Thompson #2 (FRH Thunder) PG C/O 2020: Undersized, microwave point-guard on offense. Deadly 3 point shot, heated up in an instant. Very good passer and skilled dribbler. Weaves through players on offense and controls the game well. He was able to speed and slow down the offense when necessary. I enjoyed watching his smart decision making this past weekend.
