The versatile 6’5″ athlete plays grassroots basketball for HHBC The Flight. During high school season, on a team with 4 double digit scorers, he averaged 14ppg, 8 rpg, and 4apg. Laketa has led Hanover Horton to the Regional final and the quarterfinals.
Laketa is an impressive player and prospect. He doesn’t wait for the game to come to him. Instead he moves aggressively without the ball, constantly cutting and screening. Laketa is a 3 level scorer. He finishes around the rim at a very high percentage and can also stretch the defense with his ability to knock down a triple. Laketa is a versatile defender that can effectively cover any position. He has a knack for using his defense to create offense.
Luc LaketaLaketa is an experienced player that is focused on developing his game. He’s currently working to improve his ball handling skills. He feels that improvement in that area could take his game to another level. Laketa’s best moment in basketball came when he scored 31 points in a regional finals win. He’s currently looking forward to the Brawl For The Ball in Grand Rapids. Laketa knows that their willbe talented players and fierce competition.
Luc Laketa is a goal oriented athlete. During grassroots season, he wants to win every game or tournament that he and his team play in. He’s also working over the summer to become a better and more versatile player. Laketa wants to win a state championship, play college basketball, and then extend his basketball career as far as possible. He understands the importance of academics as well. Laketa wants to excel in the classroom and be able to pursue whatever career he chooses.
Laketa will be a valuable addition to a college basketball team. He will bring a high basketball IQ and a winning focus and demeanor. Laketa is and always has been a winner, and that simply won’t change. He has offers from MIAA schools and Division 2 programs are showing interest.
