In their final game of the weekend, Smith led the way with 37 points for his squad, scoring on all three levels in a back-and-forth battle against Tri-Stars Team Roper. In the end, they lost 98-95, but I was able to catch up with Smith to get his thoughts on his recruitment and more.

Rashod Smith: I can score the ball at will, I’m a solid passer. I consider my passing to be the best facet of my game. I’m trying to improve upon my defense and my quickness.
Who do you model your game after?
RS: I model my game after Kyrie Irving.
What’s one of the biggest parts of your game you’re developing?
RS: I’m working on my pullup and my quickness. I’m trying to get more explosive as well, so lifting weights.
How’s the recruiting process going for you so far?
RS: So far, I’ve heard from VMI, Campbell, and a lot of junior colleges down the pipeline.
What would be your ideal school to attend?
RS: I want to go to Campbell University.
Smith certainly has the ability to play in the Big South Conference so heading to Campbell wouldn’t be a bad destination for him. It will be interesting to see where he ends up. He certainly has the ability to play at the next level.
