The majority of these youngsters will be playing next season at schools in the Fayetteville, NC area so fans should drop in to catch a glimpse of some of the talent of the future.
Fayetteville Flash 2022 Guard Tristan Harkins is a three point sniper! He will be playing his high school basketball at Pine Forest once again next season, and should see much more time on the court. He spent the spring and summer playing with Team Wall 15U on the Adidas Gauntlet, so the level of competition he’s faced and played well against has only helped him to increase his confidence.
DSJ Elite 2022 Wing RJ McDonald: We like what he can bring to the table for his team, not only as a scorer but a player that can battle for rebounds, using his athletic ability. He has a smooth shooting stroke, and although he is still figuring some things out on the court, he has nice upside.
Fayetteville Academy 2022 Anthony Geddie Jr: We got to see him log some major minuets at the PG spot and he was solid throughout, making plays and knocking down the trey ball efficiently. He keeps his head up and pushes the tempo which led to his team getting some easy buckets in transition.
Fayetteville Academy 2022 Amari Pearson: The words that we would have to use to describe this young man would be: intense and athletic. Regardless of who they are playing, what time of day the game is, or anything of that nature, he’s going to bring 100% effort on the court. His three point shooting was one of the more efficient that we saw throughout the day and as expected he threw down some highlight dunk as well.
Illuminating Saints 2022 Guard Bryce Brooks: Was a bright spot for his team as he provided a high amount of offense throughout the day. He has nice upper body strength, and showed that he didn’t need much space to get his shot off, as he knocked down quite a few treys with a hand in his face.
MFIB Spartans 2023 Isaac Ferguson: Solid overall showing from during this event, he played his way into our attention with impressive/efficient performances. He finds ways to impact the game even if his offensive is not necessarily flowing as usual, which is something that we like to see from the younger players. He has the tools to be a very special defender over time if he continues to tweak some things, overall he was a solid and will be one to keep an eye on over the next year or two.
