The age divisions start with 6th grade and go all the way through 10thgrade, with the 10th grade division being one of the stronger divisions. Let’s take a look at a few of the teams that will be in the building as well as some possible players that could have good games.
Fayetteville Flash -10th Grade: We got the chance to see this team in a local tournament a few months back and they were solid, with multiple players that can score at a nice level. It looks like there will be a rematch with the Flash and DSJ Elite which should be fun as both teams battled the last time they matched up with each other.
Fayetteville Rockets-10th Grade: They took home the championship in the last local tournament that we got the chance to see them in, so we are sure that they will be looking for an opportunity to continue their success. They have quite a few talented players, with one of those being 2021 Guard Demetrius Polk Jr, who put up some big time scoring numbers last time we saw them.
DSJ Elite 2021 Guard Kelton Battle: His progression over the past few years has been impressive and you can see that he has been putting in a nice amount of work on his game. Last tournament didn’t end the way he wanted it so we fully expect to see him come in to this tournament with the same amount of intensity to try and lead his squad.
Fayetteville Academy-10th Grade: has a squad listed so we can only assume that this may be a group of youngsters that will possibly be playing for FA next season. If that’s the case, we look forward to seeing the potential group come in and compete, this always give FA fans a chance to see come out and see their future Eagles.
The 7th grade division features LBA Thunder, Sandhills Warriors, DSJ Elite and Skills Eyeview Ballers, all which are teams that have achieved some success over the last few months. This should make for some very competitive games as these youngsters are preparing to try and make their middle school teams next year.
The 9th Grade division should be solid as we see a few teams that we have had the chance to see before as well as some new ones that we haven’t yet. Carolina Wolves, MFIB Spartans and Triangle Heat are just a few of the teams that will be in this division.
