Prospect Spotlight: Keyoun Agee (2021)
Iowa Dynasty 16u has been one of the more entertaining squads in Iowa this spring, its point guard Keyoun Agee is the guy that makes them go.
The Iowa City High floor general is small, 5-foot-7, but his speed, quickness and awareness allow him to be a highly effective player on both sides of the ball.
“I feel like I’m an all-around player, and I can bring defense and scoring. I think ball-handling and driving to the basket is how I really like to get my points, because of how fast I am,” said Agee.
The rising junior was a key player for Iowa City High’s sophomore squad last season. He projects to be an impact player for the Little Hawks’ varsity next season.
“I feel good about next year, because we’ve all been playing with each other since elementary school,” said Agee. “I think my role will be to be a defender and a facilitator, just getting my teammates open shots.”
Ahead of next season, Agee will have a big summer with Iowa Dynasty. He says once the team continues to gel, they could be even more dangerous come July.
“The spring has been going fine, we’ve been finishing in second and third place a lot. I think once we all get our heads together this summer, we’re going to be a really nice team,” said Agee, who hopes to improve his offensive arsenal as the offseason wears on.
“This summer, I’ll be working on catching and shooting, because I’m small, so next year it will be more difficult for me to drive and finish through contact. So, just being a catch and shoot player is my goal.”
