One of the best shots of the night was made by Braden Barger. His tight handles and awareness of the defense allowed him the ability to get his shot up when he wanted. Barger’s skills were particularly evident when Top Flight West got out in transition. The featured clip highlights Barger’s handle and shot-making ability as he knocked down the mid-range shot.
Easton Whitcomb-
One of the better rebounding wings was Easton Whitcomb on Friday night. His strength, paired with his ability to hight point the ball effectively, allowed him to come up with offensive and defensive rebounds for his team. Whitcomb also had a nice floater that he was able to hit when he got into the teeth of the defense. These talents made him a extremely effective for the Minnesota Chill.

Ryan Warren was one of the best finishers so far in the tournament. On multiple occasions he was able to get to the rim and finish shots by spinning the ball off the glass. His ability to make shots using spin allowed him to make shots over his man, as well as against help defenders. The clip above highlights his finishing ability, and his talent in transition. While he may have faced poor transition defense on this play, you can see him use spin to bank in the open layup.
RJ Jioklow-
No one had a quicker release than RJ Jioklow. If defenders didn’t anticipate his shot, they had no chance of blocking it. A number of times, Jioklow was able to get his shot off in tight spaces around the rim before defenders had a chance to react. He also showed great awareness of defensive positioning which made him even more lethal when he was able to get into the lane.
Charlie Plum-

When the MN Jazz got a second possession it was often Charlie Plum who provided them with it. He was relentless and attacked the boards every chance he got. This was highlighted by his ability to get an offensive rebound over two bigger men on a free throw attempt and put it back in. The clip above shows off Plum’s ability as he is able to tip the ball out off of an offensive rebound for an open three.
Jack Janke-
One of the best shooters on the floor Friday night was Jack Janke. If he was left open and got the ball, you could guarantee that he was going to knock it down. He possessed a pure jump shot and had a quick release which allowed him to be consistent and shoot over closing defenders. On opportunities that the defense was able to defend well, he was also able to drive into the lane effectively.
Nino Johnson-

No one could pass the ball as quick and effective as Nino Johnson did. His strength and control allowed him to throw pinpoint chest passes to teammates and got Blast Hoops Nicholson’s offense going when it became stagnant. He also showed a nice ability to shoot the three. The featured clip shows Johnson draining a three, despite good defense by his opponent.
