Dobbs really showed out to me against a Matthew Mors lead team. Great on fast breaks, excellent in transition. A shot creator that has the wheels to cut to the hoop or shoot the clutch mid or three-point shot. Also very solid defensively. The Liberty Flames signed a good one in Dobbs.
Camden Heide, Wayzata (MN)
Although he had a shaky start in the first half with his shooting, he definitely made up for it in the 2nd half and put on a show. His vertical was what stood out to me most. His ability to get off the floor and dunk shows you why he has multiple Big Ten offers (Wisconsin and Minnesota) as a 15-year-old. Definitely will be top performer in 2022 in Minnesota and the Midwest. Heide will get more offers this weekend, no doubt about it, hopefully will grow interest outside the Big Ten as well.
John Henry, Eden Prairie (MN)
Henry was not a player that was really on my radar before yesterday, but now he definitely is. Henry not only can score at will, but can rebound extremely well as a 6’5 forward. I think he opened a lot of eyes last night with many coaches looking from D-2 and D-3.
Brady Williams, Dover-Eyota (MN)
Brady proved himself against the bigger schools in Minnesota last night. From a high school enrollment of 334, it’s great to see a player of his caliber in double digits. Has a large amount of D-2 interest such as: Concordia-St. Paul, Winona, Sioux Falls, and St Cloud State to name a few. Very good shooter for 6’7 and runs the floor very well.
Henry Abraham, Cambridge-Isanti (MN)
There are plenty of reasons last night why Abraham has the all-time scoring record at Cambridge-Isanti. A 5’11 product that has a great looking three-point shot, and plays larger than his 5’11 size. His handle is what really stuck out to me, and his senior year for the Blue Jackets fun to watch.
