Cape Fear HS 2021 Guard EJ Mcarthur: Basketball runs in his blood as his mother was an All-Conference level talent in college years ago. We saw him grow in confidence last year and you can see the potential in his game as well as the potential to be a nice facilitator for this team.
Terry Sanford 2022 Guard Amaru Barnes: He provided a spark for the team with some scoring and running some PG, he pushed the pace and converted some buckets in the paint that were pretty difficult. With the departure of numerous players due to graduation and transfer, he should be one that sees his minutes increase in a nice way.
Cape Fear HS 2022 Wing RJ Mcdonald: The more we get to see him, the more intrigued we are about his talent and the potential he has to be special. Making plays above and below the rim as well as displaying a smooth shooting stroke from three point land made him a difficult opponent to slow down for defenders.
Douglas Byrd 2021 Eli Smith: One of the smallest players that you will see on the court, he was hands down one of the better players that we got the chance to see. His IQ for the game is advanced, he sees plays before they happen and time after time we saw him make the correct play regardless if it was for himself or others.
Terry Sanford 2022 Forward Davis Molnar: He will be called on to be a major factor for this team this season and we saw a glimpse of this throughout the day in multiple matchups. A legit 6’5/6’6 Forward that can not only shoot the trey ball but he doesn’t mind playing in the paint through physical contact and pulls down a nice amount of rebounds.
Pine Forest 2023 Guard Isaiah Washington: The potential that he has to be special is clear without a doubt, a smooth ball handler and a player that can score in bunches, you can see why there is some buzz about him already. The main thing for him will be to be efficient with less amounts of dribbling and increasing his motor as he has a very reserved demeanor on the court and seems to take some plays off at times.
