Player Breakdowns:
• Marlon Elliot Jr – Marlon possesses some serious tools on the defensive end, good lateral quickness he is really agressive and athletic. A great passer that uses his athleticism and strength to get to the rim. Needs to Improve his shot, jump shooting and off the dribble, as well as his reads (when to shoot, when to dish).
• Jake Werling – A player that plays downhill! He is good in transition, and can finish with either hand, he doesn’t need many dribble to create offense. Defensively Jake takes a a lot of pride and plays with great energy. A coaches dream, doesn’t say a word just yes sir and no sir. Jake will need to improve his shooting, but will come along.
• Matt Bertke – Bertke is a big man with soft hands, a good catcher and passer in the high or low post, that can step out and knock down the three. Matt does a good job on the block, using his body and finishes well around the basket. Defensively he needs to get better, not super athletic ,he will need to improve his footwork to put him in better position to do that. As well as his conditioning, his mobility needs to improve as well.
• Devonte Curry – Curry is a shifty guard with good IQ that sees the floor well and possesses leadership qualities. A floor general that is constantly talking and directing. Has Good mechanics on his shot. He needs to get better as an on ball defender, doesn’t seem he has grown into his body yet, smaller build and he will need to get stronger.
• Blake Pistro – Blake can fill it up from three, and extremely unselfish kid who plays the game the right way, a good passer who moves well without the ball. Not a great athlete but does well on the glass with his strength and willingness to box out. Confidence is a killer for him, he will have to shoot the ball more consistently and with less of a conscientious. Defensively, he will have to guards the perimeter better, need to improve his confidence there and his lateral quickness.
