Thailand Elder | 6’1”| SG | Allen | 2020
The improvement in Thailand Elder’s game was evident last night versus Frisco Centennial. Elder hit jumpers off the move and off of rhythm dribbles. The Allen Eagles incoming senior has picked up two offers so far this summer and if the two-way player continues to play well there will be more scholarships coming his way.
Jarren Cook | 6’3” | SG | Allen | 2020
Cook has the physical gifts that not a lot of players at his position are blessed with. He doesn’t always use those gifts on the court and can sometimes perform in a lackluster fashion in big games. Yesterday, Cook showed me why division one schools are recruiting him. He is a catch and shoot threat that can get hot from behind the arc when he’s in a zone.
Ian Motta | 6’6” | SF | Allen | 2021
Having a good role player that knocks down open shots and likes to rebound is a necessity. Ian Motta is going to be that kind of player for the Allen Eagles. Motta is a tough kid that has good fundamentals that fits perfect in a system where teams run a lot of half court sets. Motta has to work on being more athletic and quicker laterally, to be able to guard multiple spots on the floor.
Isaiah Foster | 5’10” | PG | Frisco Memorial | 2022
Foster is a speedy ball handler that has swift hands on the defensive end and is a solid distributor.
Rylan Griffin | 6’4 | SG | Richardson | 2022
The 2022 class is stacked with multiple players in the state that have an opportunity to be highly touted nationally. Rylan Griffin from Richardson High School is starting to convince me that he’ll be one of those national names. The skilled three man has good ball handling ability, a nice jumper, athleticism, and the size that make it extremely difficult for opponents to guard.
