North Davidson HS Guard Jamarien Dalton: Impressive showing from this prospect as he was solid throughout the day and doesn’t seem to get too high or too low at any moment. He doesn’t force plays and has a good natural feel for the game, he reminds us somewhat of former St. Davids Standout Forward Kris Monroe. Scoring the ball is something that he seems to do with ease, he reads defenders well and doesn’t use excessive dribbling to get the job done, solid overall prospect.
West Forsyth Guard Aathan Hauser: If we had to use a word to classify his game, we would have to use ‘‘worker’’ as he flat out gives max effort on the court. At about 6’2 with a long wingspan he has some of the physical tools already that you like to see in a prospect, he showed some flashes of how good he can be throughout the day.
High Point Christian PG KJ Garrett: You could see that he was dealing with some form of leg injury throughout the day but he pushed through it as much as he could, playing in 2 out of 3 of the games on the day. Ball handling and passing were two of the attributes that were on display for him, he does a nice job of getting teammates involved as well as being able to handle all types of defensive pressure.
Calvary Day Wing Owen Gulledge: A lot to like about what he brings to the table as he is a 6’5 player that can score, facilitate and rebound well. The attribute that was on display the most was his passing as he found teammates over and over again with nice passes that put them in easy positions to score the ball.
Reagan High Forward Saylor Schott: We like that he came out and competed hard in each game that we got the chance to see. He still has some work to do to make himself a no brainer prospect but at 6’5 with two more years of HS basketball in him, he has a chance to improve his stock and make himself into a prospect.
North Davidson Guard Garrett Hayes: Another Guard that showed his IQ for the game and the ability to set up others instead of only looking for his own offense. He does have good form on his shot when he looks to score but we liked that he didn’t try to force plays and allowed the game to come to him.
Calvary Day Forward CJ Smith: We were very impressed with him as he was matched up with players that were bigger than him but he was still dominant throughout the day. He plays bigger than his height suggest, he’s about 6’4 with good strength and a nice overall skillset. Scoring the ball with ease throughout the day, he can score from outside but doesn’t mind mixing it up inside the paint at all.
