Last year, was a great season on many aspects. Looking ahead to next season, I just wanted to profile a few teams, not doing too much!
Hilliard Bradley
With Coach Norris at the helm, Bradley is going to flat out compete. Year in and year out, Bradley has a defensive system they take pride in, that dominates. With Matt Allocco and Chris Mayfield heading into their senior year, Bradley will rely heavily on them, on both ends.
Another year goes by and Keaton Norris and Aj Mirgon are ‘21 prospects on the rise. Coming back from injury will be Jack Pugh, one of the best in his class, in the area. The Jaguars will certainly compete, and look to go deep in the season next year.
Pickerington North
Watching this team last year, I just knew they were going to be very good in the future. Furthermore, wanting to speed up time, to see just how good.
Jack Sawyer, a five star Ohio State football commit, is also one of the best basketball players in the area as you may know. Pair that along seniors’ Hunter Shedenhelm and Chris Scott, you have some firepower to work with.
Idris Lawrence is a breakout candidate as a junior, that could bring a lot to the team as well. A slew of underclass-men, could also fight for minutes.
Thomas Worthington
Thomas Worthington returns a good part of their production, in their sophomore backcourt. Isaac Settles and Jalen Sullinger are a dynamic young duo, that can fill it up in a hurry.
With the loss of big man Ben Wight, obviously, the Cardinals will need some players to emerge.
But, after knocking off Hilliard Bradley in the postseason this past season, we know Thomas Worthington has some pieces.
If a player or two emerges for the Cardinals, they could very well compete in the OCC.
Pickerington Central
Pickerington Central is losing quite a bit to graduation, mainly by the name of Javohn Garcia, to go along with Coleton Landis.
But, returning Garner Wallace, Conner Maciag, Tahleik Walker and others, the Tigers still has pieces in place.
Central has a very good coaching staff, with the ability to get the most out of their players. So, anything is possible with the Tigers.
