UAA III is on the horizon and Prep Hoops will be traveling to New Jersey with plans to follow the local 17U and 16U teams scheduled to compete. Below is a quick run down of what to look for from select prospects on each team.

17U

DC PREMIER

Maryland commit Marcus Dockery has really asserted himself offensively this spring. The smooth lefty has become a confident go-to scoring option for Premier, but is also contributing on the boards while shooting high percentages.

Andre Screen is a forceful paint presence and should be one of the best rebounders participating in this weekend's tournament. Screen is also a very good shot blocker who is efficient with the ball offensively.

DISTRICT WAWG

Jahmal Banks has done a little bit of everything so far this grassroots season. He's been active on the glass but has also demonstrated good playmaking ability while minimizing turnovers.

Ashley James recently announced his intent to prep into 2020. He has been productive as a scorer, playmaker and rebounder so far this spring. We expect James to continue to be aggressive this weekend.

TEAM THRILL

Michael Gray is enjoying a true breakout this spring. The fearless lead guard continues to apply pressure on opposing defenses by getting downhill, setting up his teammates, and earning free throw attempts where he converts at a high rate.

Jarace Walker is arguably the best freshman in the country. He will fill a myriad of roles, especially defensively, while shooting high percentages from the field and the line.

16U

DC PREMIER

Premier's roster is loaded with talent. Look for Zaakir Williamson to move bodies inside, attack the glass, and score efficiently in the lane.

DISTRICT WAWG

Isaiah Folkes and Jaden House are a dynamic duo who can get downhill, touch the paint, and create havoc defensively. You can also expect Greg Melvin to contribute on both ends of the floor and give energy.

TEAM THRILL

Thrill's backcourt features several talented playmakers including Ausar Crawley, Ahmad Harrison, Christian Moore, and Darrius Tilghman. Look for each to be aggressive while looking to involve skilled big man Julian Reese.
