Continue ReadingThe Cyclones made the trip down to Myrtle Beach from NJ and didn’t waste much time at all showing what type of talent they had on their 16U and 17U rosters. They have a nice mixture of guards and size and will play a high amount of the remainder of their events in the Northeast America area, college coaches should keep a eye on this squad.
2020 Forward Jaylen Davis: At about 6’5 with a pretty solid frame, he made the most impact inside the paint, especially when it came to rebounding the ball. He understands how to use his body to find a body to box out and give himself proper positioning for a good amount of rebounds.
2020 Guard Stacey Martin II: Has a nice natural feel for the game, certain players you don’t have to watch very long to see that they are talented and he is one of those guys. He displayed some good shot selection and was pretty efficient with the shots he took, he’s one of those players that you love to have on your squad.
2020 Guard Najee Coursey: He was one of the players on this team that we feel has a chance to be pretty special before it’s all said and done. 6’4 with a long wingspan and high level scoring ability are all things that we feel can turn plenty of heads, he also got after it on the defensive end.
2022 Trey Guard Simmons: He was probably the best scorer that we saw for their team, regardless of the type of defense that was played on him, he found ways to put the ball in the bucket. He gets good lift on his shot, displayed some solid shot selection and showed off the midrange game that’s in his arsenal.
2022 Dominica Schiappa: A player that we would define as a glass cleaner/worker, he was outstanding rebounding the ball, constantly fighting for position on the offensive and defensive boards. The times that he got the ball inside the paint, he finished pretty efficiently and didn’t try to do too much, solid overall showing.
2022 Patrick Murray: His game is somewhat unorthodox but he flat out gets the job done by playing his role with max effort. Rebounding, coming up with loose balls and staying aggressive regardless of what else is going, are all things that he does on a consistent basis.
