Teams have competed across the country, some on sneaker circuits and others playing in another local events or highly competitive non sneaker brand tournaments. It’s a ton of teams that have played well and over the course of the week we will try and show some love to as many as possible. Let’s take a look at some of the thing we learned in the past few months about players, prospects and programs.
- College Coaches should go ahead and lock Henderson, NC into their GPS for the next few years! We saw the Henderson Collegiate HS squad put together a very impressive season and now the Royal Knights, a team that features a high amount of guys from Henderson Collegiate, are doing damage in every event they go to! They have college prospects that can play at the D1, D2 and D3 levels and are well coached so transitioning to the next level shouldn’t be much of an issue. One of those player in particular is Kalib Matthews who has been playing at a high level and is seeing his stock rise slowly but surely.
- Josh Hall continues to climb the recruiting boards with his stellar play with Team Loaded! Hall has seen his stock rise in a tremendous and his play is showing that he is worthy of all the accolades and offers he has received. It will be interesting to see how the in state big time schools such as Duke and UNC recruit him and where he will eventually land, but youngsters like Josh Hall are players that colleges love on and off the court.
- Raleigh NC is being very well represented! Garner Road and Team Wall both have had their fair share of success not only on the Adidas Circuit but also in non-affiliation events. NC Redstorm has put the state on notice once again as they have played very well against sneaker teams from all over, as well as Juice All-Stars and numerous other teams from the 919.
- Moravian Prep will be absolutely loaded in 2020! Last season they took Oak Hill to the wire and matched up well against quite a few special teams. They return star Guard Josh Hall of course but have added some major firepower including players such as Jamahri Harvey & Luke Davis who both have D1 interest and offers.
- PSB Elite continues to play at the high level that they have been known for, as they compete on the UAA Rise circuit. They feature players that can play at multiple levels and have a younger 15U squad that is turning some heads already.
- CP3 2022 squad has started the season on fire and look forward to continuing this play in July! They feature numerous players that are seen as D1 talent including 2022 PG Khalil Marshall who is making major strides in his first year with the program.
- Team Phoenix 17U squad is turning heads and have a prospect in Alex Holt that is beginning to gain traction in his recruitment as well as a few other prospects on their squad. They have proven to be a team to keep an eye on not only because they have prospects but they compete at a high level.
