We seen Grandview Heights with a comeback win in the first one against Johnstown. And, then we seen Harvest Prep hold off Columbus Academy in a tightly contested game as well.
All in all, a great night of basketball for the fans, that were into it every second.
A Few Thoughts…
• Luke Lachey is a gifted athlete: The 6’6” Forward was a force on the court for Grandview. The future HM D1 football player was unstoppable at times, scoring 20 points. The lengthy junior can sky above the rim, as well as a nice touch from outside. Solid athleticism, Luke is one of the better all-around athletes in Central Ohio. Moves vertically and horizontally excellent for his size and has solid ups. Definitely a player to watch in the fall and winter.
• Grandview Heights weathers the storm nicely: Being down my double digits, the Bobcats kept the same composure they had all game. A well coached team, knew how to outlast multiple Johnstown runs. Breaking through late in the game, Grandview showed great discipline to the game of basketball and it showed off. Halftime adjustments were noticeable, as the Bobcats clamped down on defense multiple times.
• CJ Anthony is due for a big summer and senior year, per expected: One of the top players in Central Ohio in the junior class, will without a doubt continue to show out. The guard is as touch as they come, and a hound on both sides of the ball. Looking ahead, CJ Anthony will continue waking people up. Sometimes overlooked because of his schools size, people out of the area don’t realize the stud that the Warriors have. Anthony should rack up quite a few more offers over the summer, without a doubt. A player that is destined for a huge last year and a half.
• Harvest Prep, is a D3 dynasty in Central Ohio as of late: Capturing their fourth district since 2014, Harvest Prep has proven to be one of the best D3 programs in the state. With big time players like CJ Anthony, Soul Hines and more, the Warriors can run with anyone. Developing players has gone great at Harvest Prep, a testament to good coaching. Harvest Prep plays a physical game on both ends, that wears teams down. Harvest Prep is a team you could very well see in Columbus in the state ship. Once again, that good of a team.
