(1) Chaska at Shakopee – Wednesday. A pair of top ten Class AAAA squads going head to head, in a 4-5 game. Seems odd but that is what section play in Minnesota has become. Super unbalanced.
(2) St. Paul Central at White Bear Lake – Wednesday. Another outstanding Wednesday game with the Twin Cities Championship game winner battling the Bears, two senior dominated clubs that have had great years. Another 4-5 game, two top 20 level teams in Class AAAA.
(3) North St Paul at Tartan – Wednesday. Game three of the Titan/Polars rivalry is in the playoffs. A short drive down the street for both, Tartan won the first two.
(4) Minnetonka at Eden Prairie – Wednesday. This is a 2-7 game, Tonka is the seven even though they’ve had a solid year with a very nice frontcourt. EP has to beat Tonka for the third time.
(5) Orono at Waconia – Tuesday. We just watched these two play last Friday when Simon Rice led a three-point barrage for the Spartans. Orono won that game but back in the same building they play the game that really matters.
(6) Minnewaska Area vs Morris Area at Willmar HS – Thursday. Class AA is a couple games ahead of the big schools, this is a strong match-up of teams with talent.
(7) Rochester Mayo at New Prague – Wednesday. Mayo lost six of their last eight so now they have to go to New Prague who has had a very similar year in terms of record.
(8) Redwood Valley vs New London-Spicer at Willmar HS – Thursday. Cole Woodford and Brandon Adelman, two very talented players leading two traditionally good teams.
(9) Brainerd at STMA – Tuesday. STMA is a game away from winning 20 games on the season but they have to beat Brainerd who has beat several very good teams already.
(10) BSM at Cooper – Tuesday. Cooper won the first game by 16 points but these are teams with talent that both felt they should of had a better year than expected. Could be an excellent game.
