The toughness that he plays the game with as well as the ability to stretch the floor with some solid midrange shooting are all things that we truly like about his game.
Havelock HS Unsigned Senior Forward Jermaine Vereen: Injuries haven’t allowed him to play as much as he would have liked to throughout his high school career but he has plenty of upside. He runs the floor, blocks shots, can finish above the rim and showed some shooting ability throughout the day. JC could possibly be a good route for him as he could use the two years to make up for some of the time that he has missed and continue to perfect his craft and help his stock.
Word of God Senior Forward Trevon Spencer: If I’m a D2 program, there is no way in the world that I’m not giving Mr. Spencer a call. He’s played a very high level of basketball over the past few years at Word of God Christian and has a nice overall skillset that we feel would put him on the court fairly early. He’s one of the more efficient players that you will see, he doesn’t take a bunch of bad shots and at 6’6 with a long wingspan, and he passes the eye test easily.
Trinity of Durham Senior Forward Marcotis Hall: Has the ability to be a stretch forward type player but also showed some skillset as a wing on occasion. Knocking down shots off the catch as well as blowing by defenders by using his dribbling skills are all things that he does well, is a player that D2 programs should be keeping a close eye on.
Goldsboro HS Senior Forward Isaiah Wilder: You won’t hear too much out of him but he can flat out get the job done on a regular basis. We knew coming into this event that he would have a productive day and he did a bit of everything when he was on the floor. Defending, rebounding, contesting and blocking shots, and making high IQ plays offensively are all things that he was able to do well.
