Grace Christian Senior Forward/Center Julian Steinfeld: The 6’10 big man has continued to improve over the two years that we have had the chance to see him play, his aggressiveness and skillset has improved. He won’t be a back to the basket type of player but will fit into a program that is looking for a big man that can stretch the floor.
Community Christian Freshman Forward Eric Wynn: The potential that he has is absolutely scary, in the first game of the day, he was dominant and caused all types of issues stopping him. He is a beast in the paint, finishing offensively but also uses his size to pull down boards at a high rate, but he also showed that he can stretch the floor as well, knocking down the trey ball on a few occasions.
Freedom Christian Senior Forward Dusan Djordevic: He doesn’t have your typical playing style of a euro style big man, he spends quite a bit of time in the paint and has a few post moves. You can tell he spends some time in the weight room as he has decent strength and once he tones up some more, could very well be a person that is even tougher to defend inside.
Greenfield School Junior Forward Trey Pittman: Due to being one of the taller players on his high school team, he had to play some stretch forward and center but he had the chance to show some wing skills. His shooting ability is something that we knew about already, but he also showed the ability to attack defenders all while keeping the game simple. College programs should be tracking him closely over this summer as well into next season as Greenfield will be looking for their opportunity to repeat.
Northwest Halifax Senior Forward Toyaz Solomon: Another player with plenty of potential to his game, you can play him as a stretch forward or on the wing as a small forward. He’s a legit 6’7 with a very long wingspan that has a smooth game and showed he can get his shot off almost whenever he wants. Some added weight room time should get him to the point where he can embrace contact at a higher rate and finish more plays inside the paint.
Wesleyan Christian Junior Forward Luke Davis: He’s originally from the Eastern side of the state but plays at WCA which still made him eligible to attend. One thing that we really liked about his game was his physicality and the ability to play above and below the rim, he can shoot the ball well but doesn’t settle for the jump shot.
