He went from having less than a handful of offers, to having a mixture of D1 and D2 programs wanting him to come and be a part of their program. The ability to run the floor, score the ball, block shots, and be coachable are all assets that you have to like about him.
Greene Central Senior Wing Jakeal Gay: We got the opportunity to see more of what he could do from the perimeter as well as the athletic ability that he has. At 6’6 with a long wingspan and efficiency from three point land, he is one that you have to like for the next level, he still has plenty of upside which is something that you have to be excited about.
Fayetteville Academy Senior Forward Williams Onyeodi: One of the more physical players that was in the building, playing with and thru contact is something that he does on the regular. He has extended his shooting range but where he truly makes an impact is inside the paint with his rebounding and finishing.
Northside-Jacksonville Junior Forward Quincy Martin Jr: A lot to like about the 6’5 Forward from Northside HS, he is a player that can play inside and out due to his skillset and size. One attribute we saw from him that we feel is important is that he finds ways to impact the game even when he’s not scoring. Rebounding is one area in particular, he does a good job or boxing out as well as using his athletic ability to pull down boards.
John Holmes Senior Forward Ckayvion Everett: There has been an ongoing debate about who has the highest leaping ability in the state of North Carolina and he is without a doubt the leader right now. He finishes dunks with his head at or above the rim and uses this same athleticism to block shots on the defensive end, JUCO programs should be tracking and offering.
