On the year, JP averaged 23.3 points, 5.3 boards, and 6.7 assists per game. He shot that the ball at a very high percentage (65% overall), and he showed off consistent 3 point shot (53%). JP had a very impressive AST:TO ration of 4.91. Defensively, this kid is a very solid on ball defender and is a ball hawk. He averaged 4.9 steals per game, which was good for top 3 in state. Robinson was Deshler’s No. 1 option, and he helped lead Deshler to 24-7 overall and the 4A Area 16 title.
Strengths
Quick with the ball. Deceptive first step. Controls pace. Great in transition. Excellent 3 point shooter and shot maker. 3 level scorer. Tight handle. Good vision and floor command. Low turnover percentage. High AST:TO ratio. Solid rebounder for his size. Quick hands defensively.
Weaknesses
Small in size (5’10). Not an explosive athlete. Needs to get to the foul line more. Not a natural fit off ball offensively. Not a multi-positional defender (at this time).
Overview
Robinson is a very talented player. What he lacks in height, JP makes up for in work ethic and production. This kid produces and wins at a high rate. He takes care of the ball. Scores at all 3 levels. JP knows how to lead a team and can make a roster better. LM D1, High D2, JUCO Recruit.
