They would cut the lead and would eventually tie the game , but a late set of free throws would put the game away as the Falcons were named champs.
71st HS Senior Guard Demauriea Nickelson: Very impressive showing , he brought energy and effort on both ends of the floor as soon as the game began . Does a nice job of getting out into transition and finishing plays as well as finishing thru contact in the paint.
71st HS Senior Forward Brion McLaurin: The first half was a struggle for him as his shot wasn’t falling and he forced a few plays . The 3rd quarter was a different story , he got it going scoring wise and put together a nice 2nd half, finishing with 26 Points.
71st HS Senior Guard Thomas Hendricks: His numbers wont scream out at you but he played a very solid game. He got to the spots that he wanted to go all while keeping his turnovers low throughout the night .
Richmond County Senior Wing Alex Quick: He put on an absolute show in the first half , scoring the ball in all types of ways. The 6’4 wing has all types of moves in his arsenal , at one point he hit a defender with a crossover that sent him to the floor. JC and D2 programs should be all over this talented player as he is outstanding as a student as well with a 3.4 GPA.
Richmond County Senior Guard Roderick Newton: He’s small in height but his ability to know down the trey ball is very impressive . He started off the game knocking down shots at a high rate and getting after it on the defensive end as well . JC programs that like to play the game at a very fast pace should give him a call.
Richmond County Junior Forward Jarvis Tillman: Rebounds and blocks shots at a high rate without fouling. One of the things that you have to like about him is that he doesn’t try to do things outside of what he’s best at.
Richmond County Sophomore Guard Caleb Hood: One of the strongest players that we saw on the court. Contact doesn’t bother him at all, he played through it all and was a huge part of why Richmond was able to make a comeback.
